We Did It!

Thank you to the California Division of Boating and Waterways for approving our grant request this year! Healing Waters has been awarded $40,000!

In 2024, we safely guided over 400 participants on the South Fork of the American River and in sea kayaking, successfully meeting the department's goals of promoting safe boating practices.

In their approval letter, the agency noted, "Successful applicants demonstrated a positive boating safety record, maintained an adequately trained staff, and provided a safe environment for teaching."

Healing Waters takes pride in our high safety standards and is especially grateful for our dedicated volunteers, who ensure that participants enjoy the thrill of whitewater rafting while being well-prepared and protected every week.
